V utorok 25. augusta 2026 vo Zvolene si najmä príslušníci 2. brigády vzdušných síl pripomenú už 5. ročníkom Memoriálu rotmajstra Vladimíra Kollára pamiatku svojho kolegu. No na tradičný 3800 metrový beh sú pozvaní všetci záujemcovia, vojaci aj bežci z civilu.
Prezentácia:
2. brigáda Vzdušných síl OS SR, Borovianska cesta 1, od 8,00 hod. Následne presun na štart na brehu Hrona
Začiatok pretekov: o 10,00 hod – deti a kategórie mužov aj žien, o 11,00 – päťčlenné družstvá vojakov a vojačiek.

Rotmajster Vladimír Kollár bol športovec, vášnivý bežec. Jeho život predčasne ukončila zákerná choroba. Aj prostredníctvom Memoriálu, ktorý organizujú jeho bývalí kolegovia, si na tohto bývalého výborného profesionálneho vojaka a otca rodiny spomenie tiež jeho pozostalá manželka a dve dcérky.
Memoriál je benefičný. Organizátori v spolupráci s Vojenskou podpornou nadáciou v predchádzajúcich ročníkoch už prostredníctvom výťažku z podujatia pomohli aj Kollárovcom. Tento ročník bude výťažok venovaný Klinike pediatrickej onkológie a hematológie v Detskej fakultnej nemocnici v Banskej Bystrici. A to konkrétne na kúpu nových pumpaperfúzorov. Sú to dávkovače, cez ktoré sa malým pacientom podáva
chemoterapia, ako aj ostatné lieky a doplnky, ktoré sú nevyhnutné pre ich liečbu.
Tieto deti sú totiž hrdinovia. S pomocou lekárov, zdravotníkov a najbližších bojujú o svoj život. O to, aby sa z neho mohli tešiť – a aby rozdávali radosť svojim príbuzným a všetkým ostatným. No a všetci tí, ktorí sa zapoja do 5. ročník Memoriálu rotmajstra Vladimíra Kollára, svojim dielom ich hrdinstvo podporia.
Aj preto pod mottom „Hrdinovia hrdinom“ vznikla spolupráca Kliniky pediatrickej onkológie a hematológie Detskej fakultnej nemocnice v Banskej Bystrici a príslušníkov Ozbrojených síl Slovenskej republiky. A tiež preto ste pozvaní na 5. ročník Memoriálu rotmajstra Vladimíra Kollára.

5th Master Sergeant Vladimir Kollar Memorial Run
On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in Zvolen, members of the 2nd Air Force Brigade along with others will honor the memory of their colleague at the 5th Master Sergeant Vladimir Kollar Memorial. Participation in the traditional 3,800-meter run is open to everyone interested, including both military personnel and civilian runners.
Check-in: 2nd Air Force Brigade, Borovianska cesta 1, starting at 8:00 AM. Followed by a move to the starting line on the banks of the Hron River.
Race start times: 10:00 AM – children and individual men’s and women’s categories; 11:00 AM – five-member military teams.

Master Sergeant Vladimir Kollar was an athlete and an avid runner. His life was cut short by a cruel illness. Through this memorial event organized by his former colleagues, his surviving wife and two daughters will also honour the memory of outstanding professional soldier and family man.
The event is a charity fundraiser. In previous years, the organizers in cooperation with the Military Support Foundation have used the proceeds to assist the Kollar family. This year, the proceeds will be donated to the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at the Children’s University Hospital in Banska Bystrica, specifically for the purchase of new infusion pumps. These devices are used to administer chemotherapy to young patients, as well as other medications and supplements essential to their treatment.
These children are, in fact, heroes. With the help of doctors, medical staff, and their loved ones, they are fighting for their lives striving to enjoy life and to bring joy to their families and everyone around them. By participating in the 5th Master Sergeant Vladimir Kollar Memorial Run, you can support their heroism too.
It is in this spirit under the motto „Heroes for Heroes“ that a partnership has been formed between the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at the Children’s University Hospital in Banska Bystrica and members of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic.
